I wipe it with my eyeglass wipe, damp towel or even my shirt if I see a fingerprint or smudge. Weekly I clean it in warm warm water, hand soap and a soft toothbrush.

Usually just soap / water & a rub with a polishing cloth when they come off the winder, every now & again I'll use a soft toothbrush to get into the clasp & folds (I once used the old head from my sonicare but it's too messy lol).

Only if there's a wicked scratch I can't live with I'll get out the masking tape & cape-cod

If it is scratched, I use a dremel with a buffing wheel felt usually and some uma polish

I use a micro-fiber cloth for polishing. After cleaning as above, makes my TAG shine.

If this description constitutes "polish," then I do this. But I don't polish in the sense of finishing the metal (used to work in a tool shop, so maybe my definition is skewed by that).

I've started using those micro-fiber cloths to dry after washing the watch with warm soapy water. I stay away from detergents. I've come to appreciate the little scratches watches acquire with regular use. I very much prefer those scratches to the muddy look a watch takes on when it's been lapped and polished too many times.

Cheers,

Chris

cape code for the sides

I use a cape cod for the mirrored bracelet link sides and case sides, and that is about it. Sometimes I use a scrubbing bubbles wipe to clean the gunk. More at http://www.minus4plus6.com/maintenance.htm#capecod

Polish? No. Clean? Every once in a while - microfiber and then hair dryer.

Normally just soap and water. In the summer I'll also use a toothbrush on the bracelet when needed.
Mine has an acrylic crystal (1987), so I use some Brasso brass polish on the crystal when it gets scratched.

I use normal hand soap that does not have balsam in it and just clean thouroughly with a soft sponge and occasionally a soft brush. I then rinse with warm water and dry it with a clean towel, and polish it with a microfibre cloth. Work really well. Looks new again

A top quality (this makes all the difference) microfibre cloth for light polishing. For dirt & grime, a gentle wash in luke warm water with a dab of liquid soap.

Cheers

Yup, a good old lathe, polishing wheels for a high polish or satin finish and the right rouge. Thank you High School shop class.

Hey Scott, do you use the diffuser or not...what heat setting, Low, Med or High!

I have to agree with not polishing the watch though, scratches are like fighting a losing battle.

I use Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo, luke warm water, and a soft bristle tooth brush (a baby toothbrush or a freebie from Virgin Atlantic - VERY soft bristles). Once a month works fine for me as my SD and I only desk dive!
