Ok, it is SS.
It is a current production model, but the one I want is different and no longer made but still the same model.... It is a luminor.

As soon as I can find one! It is a G so it is a few years old. 2000 were made. I could probable be talked into a E or F as they are painted as well, but the G has the larger crown guard like the newer ones. The older ones (e-f) as slightly smaller. Basically it is a transitional model. Also, the movement doesn't have the cotes de geneve, but rather "Panerai Panerai Panerai Panerai Panerai" movement. This will be my wedding present from my fiance. Don't know if I can wear it before the wedding, but I'll definitely sneak it out of the box for some pics for you guys.
So, how did I finally reach this decision. Well, I'm planning on two or three Panerai for now. Want a sub/lum and a rad. I have a RWC 1938a now, which is Rad style so I'm going for a lum and my fiance likes the lums more. Since it is my wedding gift, I guess she has some input!!!! ![]() So, I really want a manual and simple for Panerai. I don't like the complications in Panerai. So basically a two or three hander without any complications. The Rad's I like are the 210, 190 and 232. The 232 fits me "ok", but it is BIG. Those extra 2mm make a difference. The 210 is really nice, but I love the 190 as well. Anyway, those are all sandwhich dials (aka sammys) so I really wanted some paint, but only if I liked it. When I went to my AD the other day, the just got a 000 in. Looked at it just to see the paint b/c I've heard the 111 and 1 have the same paint style. It looks recessed directly on, but raised on the side. Basically really, really f'ing cool when I finally saw it in the metal. So, I was then down to a 005, 001, or 111 all painted. So, I picked the 111 b/c believe it or not the number 111 keeps coming up in my life. I kid you not. It has been really weird. The final straw was last night we booked our reception site for our wedding. The address of the building was 111!!!! Sold. Now I just need to find one! ![]()

mfer.... That is going to be awesome... I am going to buy something real soon. I will keep my eyes open for you. Cool how you thought it through. You will love it.
I am stuck on the 233.... But, Mike getting that 88... I graduated in 88. But 33 is my lucky number along with 77... I have the 177 and now a 233 or the 88... These are all good numbers for me. So, I think similarly... Congrats!
