Another 116500LN on Oysterflex!

Hi everyone,

Like most people, I fell absolutely head over hells in love with the new WG Daytona on Oysterfled 116519. However, I not only already owned a SS 116500LN but I also prefer having a bracelet most of the time.

I then came across Chadridv’s excellent post of his 116500LN with an Oysterflex he had sourced from his AD and I got really excited! I do have a good relationship with my AD but Chad’s words had me doubtful:

Quote:
Q: Where do you get the Oysterflex Bracelet and how much does it cost?

A: You have to be kind of lucky to land yourself an OF bracelet. You either need to have a fantastic relationship with someone at an AD who can hook you up, or you need to keep an eye on private sales. As most know, ADs are not really supposed to sell "loose parts" so don't waste your time or theirs going from door to door asking to buy one. If you have a good enough relationship to ask, you'd know.
So I reached out to my AD and low and behold, not only were they willing to sell it to me no problem, they also happened to have my size (E-E and E-F) in stock! It was meant to be!

After a few PMs back and forth with Chad regarding sizing, I pulled the trigger and the bracelet has now landed! For those curious, size wise, E-E and E-F is the equivalent of a 5 by 6 links Daytona oyster bracelet.

My end links from George (Smartyjones18) landed in the US 3 days ago so they should hopefully be here soon but it doesn’t look all that bad without them but it will definitely look a lot better when they arrive!

Thanks again Chad and George for all your help!

PS: Here's a size chart for the Oysteflex in case anyone else is interested:

Looks great! I agree, end links will give it a "finished" look.

Incredible my friend! Congrats to you. Looks pretty good without the endlinks, but will
Definitely look better once you get it all together.

Looks great. A friend of mine tried to get one through his AD and he got told that in the U.K. Rolex want the customers name and model of the watch it’s for - in other words to stop this. My thoughts were getting a rubber b.

I feel the same way. End links bring up to a whole different level.

nice. funny on how members react to endlinks on a bracelet here. everyone was saying no to it on a tudor bb. yet now a daytona must have them.

I think they’d look pretty good on a BB, but I get it, the black bay is vintage inspired and looks it. The end links give it a much more modern look imo.

How do you think a sub c would look with end links?

To be honest the small gap does not bother me, but on yours and others Daytona’s the end links and OF look great.

Just don’t want to be disappointed with end links. Does the place you bought them offer returns?

I think it looks good without it and different from others with end links. Oops, I thought you were talking about Daytona.

Nice! Looks great on the OF bracelet. Once I have one I'd certainly like to do this myself, especially for weekend wear.

You know I tried the OF sans Endlinks on my LVC and just never warmed up to it. I don't think it had as much to do with the gaps, as much as I just don't think the green goes well with much except the steel bracelet, and occasionally my green everest strap.

I think with a black sub it'd look great. There is someone on here that wears his black sub on OF and it looks awesome. With brushed end links I think it would look even better.

Looks amazing!! Congrats on sourcing them.

I can't wait to get my Daytona so I can put my OFs on it

Might need to try it. I am one of Sub users on OF

I like it like this too! Sometimes the endlinks on the blocky “super case” make the end links look tiny. I’d definitely be curious to see what it looks like, but this looks pretty damn good too.
