Dallas Rsc vs New York Rsc

Ive heard great things about dallas rsc but not much about the new york one. Im in ny and the rsc would be more convient here but which rsc is better, or are they the same.

I live in NJ but sent my GMT2 to Dallas for service. I’d heard too many horror stories about the NYC Rolex Service Center. My experience with Dallas was superb.

What do you mean by update? If it is broken they will sell and install you a new one (if feasible). Rolex does not refurb bracelets.

I have the last year 16622 yachtmaster with old style clasp, the only update on the bracelet for the next model 116622 was changing to newer style clasp. Id like to have the clasp replaced

Had my sub serviced at NYC. Had to have it sent back again because it was having date change issues. Was out of a watch for months.

O haven’t sent any of my watches to either but visiting both places, the Dallas one seems much more friendly and professional!

I went with a friend to the NYC service center to get his bracelet adjusted because he couldn't loosen the screws using his Bergeon screwdiver. The response from the guy on staff at the time?

"You shouldn't use a non-rolex approved screwdriver on a Rolex."

Ok bud.

I have sent watches to both with zero problems. New York RSC just did an amazing job on my 1680 Red Submariner.

Had watches serviced at both. The NYC RSC gave me a courtesy service on my GMT, which was 6 months past the warranty and also did an excellent job on the one and only service done on my OP.

I sent my BLRO to Dallas because I heard only good things about them. The problem was a crooked cyclops.

After they received the watch, they called me to tell me they were going to take care of it. During that phone call, I asked them to be sure the magnifaction was correct. They had the watch for 6 weeks. I got it back, and sure enough the magnifaction was too low. Took pictures of my black GMT and the BLRO side by side and emailed them the photos. They said, send it back. It took another 6 weeks to get the watch back. No rush, no nothing.

You be the judge.

I can only speak for Dallas - awesome, no issues, very professional and watch came back like new. I work within walking distance, so there is no reason for me to go anywhere else.

Check this thread I started a year ago. They resolved the issue but you’ll get the point.

I had my 16710 serviced at Dallas RSC, and had no issues. I will certainly use them again in the future. You pay a premium, but in my mind it's peace of mind.

I have used both and had a good experience at both. If I send the watch in I deal with Dallas. If my AD sends the watch they deal exclusively with NY. We are on the east coast.

Once it comes down to execution I’ve been very pleased with NY, however, they make everything difficult to get going. They really make you jump through hoops, they follow their own rules regarding global warranty policy. It’s extremely annoying and has been a point of controversy around here for a long time.

Have used NYC and Dallas in the past. Pleased with Dallas a touch more than NYC. But I see the convenience of dropping off in person vs shipping. I would go to NYC and make sure the job is done right by thoroughly inspecting the watch upon pick up.

Only a Dallas experience here. Great job, and about +1 second a day accuracy compared to +20 or more before service, and a careful polish job. Not cheap. But you knew that.

Is there anything in Dallas that’s within walking distance?

Haven't use NY, did used Dallas on my 16610 once and service was great. From recent feedback here would likely send to Dallas if on warranty; out of warranty Rik Dietel is THE MAN!
