Sometimes you have to do something stupid...

While not wanting the new GMT (in the minority I’m sure), I do want the new DSSD... I had the orgional from day one and like many (or some) it just didn’t sit right for me. With the redesign I think it will be good.

BUT, in order to get one in a timely manner and not pay grey prices, and even though I do have a long relationship with my AD, I was not a big buyer (DavidSW got most of my business). So in order to get a new DSSD this summer, he said it will really help if you get something now (last Watch I got from him was the SD4K in 2016)... The only watch I wanted lately was the BLNR, and ended up getting a new from TRF about 6 weeks ago... Well he said I can get you the GMT you wanted, so not wanting to tell him I have it already, I told him to get it, and I’m going to sell my other BLNR...

Yes, this is just crazy, but it’s going to be less than gray prices in the end, and can’t believe I’m even going to do this, but it’s my best chance to get the other one I want. Sure glad I didn’t want the Pepsi...

I miss the days of just walking in and buying what we want.

Just put a deposit down with David, he’ll have one before your AD anyway hahaha

Gotta do what you gotta do. If you got a fair discount on the BLNR then you probably will make out ahead.

And missing the whole part about grey prices?

Been dealing with David for 9 years, I’m sure the new DSSD will be a few K above MSRP for a while. And don’t begrudge him a bit for making everything he can! His used old d blues are over msrp.

I don’t think it’s stupid at all. Quick search online shows that used BLNR prices are hovering around or above retail so you should make out just fine. Will you be keeping your first DSSD?

Black DSSD should not be hard to get from an AD, don't think demand is that big now. D-blue will be tougher.

It’s the new d-blue I’m wanting.
