2018 Pepsi GMT bracelet

Hey all.

Curious, does the new Pepsi GMT Oystersteel bracelet have more width than the current Oyster bracelet? In pictures it looks slightly wider but can't tell if that is just the angle in which the images are taken.

Thanks

Unless the lug width has changed on the case, it would be the same size.

However, they could easily just move the lug holes to prevent interchangeability with the oyster...if in fact that's what they're after. I don't really know, TBH.

My AD said the jubilee on the new Pepsi will be beefed up.

i have to think theyve employed a more restrictive way of ensuring an Oyster wont fit on a SS Pepsi. a shop like LAWW can easily drill a separate pair of pin holes (can we even refer to them as lug holes now?) inside the lugs so that it will fit an Oyster. if i had to guess, the lug width is slightly different. however, if that is the case, what happens when the new movement is put in the BLNR/Black GMT? are they really going to use different cases? that would be departure from the norm and wouldnt be conducive to the whole economies of scale thing.

now, if the jubilee holes are in the same position save for a .25-.5mm or so, thus restricting a separate set of Oyster holes being drilled, I suppose that could work.

I understood it as : the oyster band will not be offered as an option. Or were they specifically saying that it would not be compatible?

I'm guessing it's going to turn out to be 21mm which accounts for the slightly slimmer look on the lugs for a case that is still 40mm. The bracelet looks like it could be wider in the pictures.

Even if it bolts up with 100% perfect alignment, Rolex will say it doesn't fit. They've flat-out told me that links from a Submariner won't fit a Daytona despite knowing they will. It's just not in their interest to mix and match parts.

With that said, chances are high that they moved the lug holes for the new Jubilee bracelet, widened the lugs 0.5~1.0mm, etc. But, we won't know with absolute certainty what they've done (if anything) until someone gets one in-hand and can either measure and/or try an existing Oyster.

Looking forward to seeing if there's an option for that as I'm not a fan of the look of the jubilee bracelet, and it's the only thing which puts me off this new version (aside from the wait times of course).

I would buy it in a heartbeat on an Oyster bracelet, though not at the price of the white gold version. Hopefully it can be done!
