Better pics of the dial but I don’t like it at first glance the setting is inconsistent with the age of the watch

Am I correct that the engine turned bezel was never offered at the same time as that dial as well?

From the pics I'll guess it's an earlier 16030 or 16220 with a replaced dial (doesn't look factory). The formerly brushed lugs have also been polished to look like the new style DJs.

I would pass. But if you still want it I'd check every component of the watch (dial, movement, case with ref and serial, bracelet and clasp code) to see what's authentic and what's AM and value accordingly.

Wise.
Even prior to reading others comments - this watch is either fake or gratly modified with after market parts.

No men’s Rolex in full steel had diamonds at this time, also the case has lug holes (pre 1994. That setting style is later. Jubilee dial was released in 1985 and i think is still running in various incarnations. Engine turned Datejust was available until 1989

As always outstanding knowledge

I did think lug holes ceased during 2002/3 (never used after "Y" serial number introduced mid 2002-2003)

Best

Ugh, if you're going to polish the lugs, then polish the outer links too. Just looks crazy that way.

Hi s serial approx 1994-93 on men’s Datejust depends on charts a touch of course saw the end of lug holes in the Datejust 36mm model in the 162xx series. . I have a w serial 16233 with no lug holes in my collection and have previously owned an s with no lug holes. 162xx series had a change in case mid production years. Cheers
