Master Watchmaker NYC??

A good friend of mine has asked me if i know of a good Master Watchmaker in NYC, he had a bad experience with RSC NY, so i think he wants an alternative.

I promised i would ask you lot.

Thanks for your help

I have had nothing but good experience with Rolex in NYC, so I use them exclusively for my Rolex watches.

For others -- and some friends have used them with great satisfaction with Rolex as well -- I recommend Grand Central Watch Band. It's a very old, small, family watchband and watch service center located IN Grand Central Terminal; actually in the so-called Grand Central Passage. They have serviced and repaired several watches for me, reasonably, and very well.

Good luck!

I would consult with Grand Central Watch Band. It's a hole in the wall kiosk in Grand Central Station. It's family owned and has been there for years and years. They do repairs and they have a nice selection of vintage pieces. I've had them do minor repairs on my omega watches over the years. I bought my Rolex after leaving NYC so have not had them work on that. If they cannot do the work, I'm sure they know a good person to get it done. Very trustworthy.

This is a slightly hard place to find -- it's down a corridor that leads from the west side of the terminal out to 45th Street. Number is (212) 685-1689. You could have your friend call first.

Funny I did not even see Radioman's post about Grand Central Watch Band before my post. Guess great minds think alike!
