Close to buying a GMT II

Well I was looking for an exp II with a black dial, and I was shown a D serial GMT II pepsi bezel, with open papers never worn, I was quoted 4700 is this a good price or do you think I could get this watch for a lower price?

Hi dave..you can probably squeeze it more around $4000 and maybe under that price too...

Private seller or dealer? If a dealer, not too bad, if you're getting a warranty. Private seller, you should pay less.

It is not really a bad price for a unworn GMT II but you could probably do a couple of hundred less and that would be a very fair deal. The GMT II is such a special watch, you won't regret owning own.

4700 is not a bad deal. You could probably do a little better, but for a BNIB D serial 16710 with open warranty, I wouldn't expect anyone to agree to a price below the lower-4K range.

$3900 from a private seller. $4300 from a dealer. To me, those are fair prices for the GMT II that was mentioned.

Its from a dealer, I am going in with my aunt to buy my uncle a watch, hopefully this will make him a litte more generous and will lower the price, we shall see if I have a new watch, I would like him to drop to 4000 but I think that is a strech

I think the GMT is very underrated. I love the contrast of the red fourth hand on the black dial. I personally prefer the black bezel but you can't go wrong with one. Good luck!

I agree that you should be able to get the dealer down several hundred dollars.

Sounds fair enough. Great looking watch, hope everything works out well for you. Best of luck.
