Why crown is not in the same position after it goes in RSC for service
I just picking up an Explorer I back from an overhaul service. The crown is not in the same position like it was before going in. Is it possible to request to have the crown positioned right like all the watch in their catalog ?

I may be wrong, but I believe it all has to do with the threads of the crown tube, which was probably replaced at service. I doubt Rolex pays much attention to the theading of either the tube threads or the crown threads... every now and then it results in a crown position straight up, but not required.

likely new crown gasket or the Fomblin made the old gasket fluffier.
