Fluted bezel

Hi interested in getting a date just 41. Just wandering how well the gold fluted bezel holds up. Yes I know it depends on what I’m wearing it for and if I baby it or not, but just wandered if they are easy to ding, or dent. Thanks

I’ve got the RG fluted - no problems whatsoever! I feel the fluted hides dings/scratches much better than the smooth SS I had yrs ago.

I holds up great, in fact much better than the smooth bezel version. Unless you beat the crap out of it you'll never notice any scratches or dings to the fluted bezel.

The fluted bezel has been a staple of the line for years...for a couple of very good reasons. It looks great and ages gracefully.

Fluted bezel holds up well, its not as shiny as the wt gold tho. Then again the diamond bezel is not as shiny as the wht gold neither.

We have all 3 in the house.

Agreed. Alos the light reflection of the fluted bezel make it looks gorgeous.

It scratches easily but you can't see them unless you go hunting for them

The fluted bezel certainly holds up to the rigors of everyday wear. I think the smooth bezel shows scratches or micro abrasions far more than the fluted.

This 30 year old TT DJ has a fluted bezel which I think fits the watch perfectly. It was my first Rolex which I purchased new, and I still wear it and really love it.

My white gold bezel still looks good.

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

Buy a professional camera and you´re a professional
photographer, buy a flute and you own a flute.

15 years on my wrist as a daily wearer, including any DIY, and I never noticed any scratches...

Same goes for the jubilee bracelet, you just don't see any marks.

I would NEVER go smooth bezel or oyster bracelet when there's a fluted/jubilee option.

I prefer smooth. I think. Today anyway.

But fluted will definitely hold up better. That’s for sure.

Unless you’re using it to open cold bottles of Heineken, it will stay looking great for years.
