Would you Flip SD4K C for 16610 with Engraved Rehaut or 16600 SD4K?

It’s not that I don’t like my SD4K, just sometimes
it feels a little on the heavy side . Overall quite comfortable
but the bracelet could be a little more tapered .
Is the bracelet on the SD-43 50Th more tapered than
the SD4K C ?

The 16610 LN with engraved rehaut last of the
mighty 5 didgit Subs is growing on me . Even the
Previous SD4K 16600 but did it ever come with
engraved rehaut?

Just toying around with the idea ...
What do you guys think ? The glidelock would
definitely be missed ...

Both awesome watches. I think it comes down to personal preference. Both have a lot to offer.

16600 rehaut was always smooth. 116600 was the first of the 40mm line to get the engraving.

Tough call on what to do. I'm facing a similar decision myself. I've had my 116600 three years and am considering other options.

I wouldn't do it. The 116600 is for me the ultimate Rolex diver.
But... the16600 and 116600 could definitely coexist in a collection.

No, but I would for a matte 16660.

I don't think I'd flip an SD4Kc for any of those personally, it's a very unique piece. That being said, it's all a matter of personal comfort for you.

I think you will miss the clasp, but I really prefer the look of the 5 digit style case. I own both a 16600 and 16610 and a give a slight edge to the 16610. The 16610 has a lower profile than the 16600 and will fit under the cuff of a shirt. Additionally, the 16600 has a bit more presannce, but if you have a SD now, you know what I mean. Tough call in the end, I would see if there are any preowned models you can try on.

I would not. The SD 4K for me is more special than both the 16610 and 16600. The matte dial is simply beautiful.

was thinking along those lines. A little slimmer in height but
still nice wrist presence and slightly lighter in weight.

I would not do this trade. The 116600 is a better watch than both in my eyes. IMO if you wanted the older variations I'd go for the 16660 matte dial or 1665....otherwise no need to bother and just enjoy what you got.

But FWIW my 16600 was my favourite watch before my 126600. By a long way. It replaced a 16610 and was simply better than the 5 digit sub.

Regarding the bracelet, the 5 and 6 digit models are 20mm wide at the lugs and taper to links that are ~15.4mm at the clasp. SD43 is 22mm tapering to ~17.1mm, so almost the same proportions.

Would you Flip SD4K C for 16610 with Engraved Rehaut or 16600 SD4K?

I would not sell the SD4K C. Ever.

My AD called up yesterday and stated that I’m next on the list for the 43 and will be arriving before the end of the month. It’s been a difficult decision but my SD4K is going to have to go to fund it. I have 7.5 wrists and like larger watches so it makes sense to me now.

However, I’d never flip for either of those 5 digit references personally.

I would not, the SD4000 is the most perfect dive watch Rolex ever made IMO.
5 digits bore me, if I want slim lugs I'd always go matte dial 5513 or 5512 if budget allows for it.

I had the 16600 and found it to be top heavy, so I wouldn't go for that. My 116600 is probably my one unflippable watch so I would trade for a 16610 but if it's not working for you, do it.
