Does this Tudor Submariner movement look suspicious?

The picture is of the movement inside a 9441/0 Tudor Submariner. Does the movement look suspicious to anyone? The font and colour of the text on the rotor looks wrong to me. Could it be a service replacement rotor? Does anything else stand out? Thanks in advance! IMG_1145.JPGIMG_1146.JPG

Is it just me or does that top picture look photoshopped?

You're not alone here, I don't know if the movement is correct or not but the top pic just doesn't look right to me.

It looks to me like the movement is angled in the case.

Not sure if movement is correct for this particular watch, but found one with identical markings:

https://watchguy.co.uk/cgi-bin/libra...tos&wat_id=752

Re photo, it looks like someone simply took a photo with a loupe in front of the camera.

Seller just sent me this picture. He confirms the other picture was taken through a loupe.

One of the posts you linked referenced gasket on case as opposed to case back as being a sure tell sign of fake. Not sure if correct as I don't have the expertise, so something to investigate. Also, check year of watch vs year of 2784 movement I linked to see if there is manufacture date overlap.

Is the seller reputable? Store or individual? Buy the seller first

The seller is an Individual, but has a good reputation, good feedback etc. The problem is, the seller themselves might have total faith in the watch and not realise anything is amiss. I just can't seem to find any conclusive answers

That doesn't look like any 9411 case or movement I've seen. The case shouldn't have a gasket channel, and the movement should have an engraved rotor, not printed.
I've seen similar genuine Tudor movements with printed rotors, only in different/newer references. So, the movement could be OK, just not from a 9411.

Not sure what the deal is with the case. Could be fake, or from a different model, etc. Do you have any pics of the case reference and/or SN?

When in doubt, then just skip.

Good luck.

41 feedbacks doesn’t really help build confidence in the seller’s overall knowledge.

Of course, but he also sells on Chrono24 and operates from a store in Italy, so I have more confidence in him than the average seller. Unfortunately as I say, I've been unable to find a conclusive answer as there seems to be a lot of conflicting evidence.

I'd be very careful buying from 'dealers' in Italy. Too many bad experiences reported and being on Chrono24 does nothing to improve your chances of a successful transaction.

Fake dial ( text font is wrong and someone had a go at the date window, not bevelled) , hands ( wrong snowflake shape) , bezel, case / mid back looks wrong to me too . The movement might be salvaged from some other Tudor watch. Don't touch it.
So many of these appearing on eBay now.
Tried to report to eBay but eBay does not give a shit.
