This is a very handsome watch that doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Thanks for the great pix!

I don't care what people say about the watch...you obviously like it and that's the most important thing...good for you! I'm trying to find a miniature 'White Elephant' that I can hang my DSSD to take some pictures in order to join the club!

Very nice, I have tried one for size and liked it very much.

I felt it was very comfortable to wear considering that is is a fair old slab of Au.

Enjoy wearing it.

I still can't decide whether I like it or not.

Is it beautifully ugly or just beautiful???? I don't know. It is a gorgeous watch but I can't get past the crescent countdown gauge markings....they just draw my eye.

That said, it is a real stunner, a lovely chunk of gold and nowhere near as bad as some morons label it!!!!!!!!!

J

PS the movement is supposed to be regarded by Rolex themselves as a work of art

I really like it

At last rolex decided to design something new and the end result is brilliant IMO however the writing on the bezel does grab your attention but i dont care at all

I really don't despise the watch as much as some people on this forum have stated...then again, I tend to like big watches with 'busy' dials. I agree w/ you in that my biggest complaint is the writing on the bezel...if that was removed, I really couldn't complain. I thought I remember seeing an example without the writing...is that true or am I losing my mind?

I remember people photoshopping the yachtmaster II writing on the bezel

Instead of that they wrote clownmaster II such a mean joke

Nevermind...I was thinking maybe I saw a word-less bezel on a WG version. But I just looked up pictures and see even the WG has the words on the bottom of the bezel.

If they came out with a stainless steel version of this watch, I would buy it. I just can't justify buying something so expensive that has such limited usefulness. Hmm, sounds like a good thread to start.

Very nice.

However I must say the YM isn't the most popular, including the SS/Plat version.

Sorry JJ

Yachtmaster II

I have this watch in white gold and have received many compliments on it, even my wife likes it compared to my SS Daytona and my Deepsea. After wearing these larger watches I can not see myself wearing a 36mm Day Date.

It is a beautiful watch. Thank you for sharing. You don't see them often. I did see a YG and a WG side by side in the case one time. Very impressive. I like the YG better. There is something magical when the YG and blue are put together.

Its is a GREAT watch if you sail and race

Its an amazing watch for Rolex, very unusual for them.

Id have to have a Plat DD and a few other high end watches
before Id get the YM II BUT I would never knock it!
