Daytona Movement & Case Upgrade

Just wanted to start this thread to get some thoughts, all opinions welcomed

-What does everyone think about the current 4130 movement? It's been around for roughly 20 years, but it has the 72 hour power reserve that seems to be the main 'complaint' with other movements such as the 3135. With Rolex seemingly upgrading movements to the 32xx series, do you think they would follow suit with a 42xx as well? If so, what exactly would they improve?

-What about the case of the Daytona? The ceramic bezel was of course, just introduced in 2016, however the case has has been around for quite some time. With so many watches going bigger (even in Rolex's lineup), would they possibly make the Daytona bigger as well? Chunkier? More of a true 40mm?

Again, just wanted to get some opinions on what other members thought/would like to see, not speculating anything. Anything is better than another 'is this a good investment thread'.

Rolex has made continuous under-the-radar upgrades to the 4130 that they don’t publicize. I’ve read numerous articles where those in the know claim that the 4130 is one the most well designed chrono movements in history. I doubt there is going to be a significant movement upgrade anytime soon.

Similarly, it’s only been 2 years since the SS Daytona in ceramic has been released. I would expect a good long cycle before a redesign. Rolex seems to be moving away from curved cases (as in the new Basel DJ36 models this year) so it’s possible the next redesign could change the case shape in that direction.

Given the popularity for the current model I highly doubt any changes anytime soon. FYI r many they say it’s perfect so why mess with it.

Mentioned in the Hodinkee article about the Rolex facilities:
https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/inside-rolex

Here’s a screenshot:

Later in the article there is discussion with a watchmaker about the specifics of what was upgraded.
