What would you recommend as a daily AP?
Hey all, you guys have some serious pieces and overall collections so I thought this would be the place to ask.
I currently own a AP Royal Oak in Rose Gold on a leather strap (41mm, selfwinding). What would you recommend as a daily piece based on your experience? Cheers! |

Normally I'd say 41mm RO but you have a PM one, so I'd suggest a 42mm ROO like the elephant.

FC or Ce diver or FC, CE or Ti 44mm depending on what size fits better 42mm vs. 44mm.
They are most durable and comfortable watches I've worn. They are also really different that most watches out there and can fly under the radar but still highlight why AP finishing is haute horology. |

Depends on what you prefer in a daily!
For me from the current line up it would be between an SS ROC and a ROO Ti44 (maybe 42mm but haven’t see one yet) The RO has the lower profile and more versatile wear plus you can add a rubber strap option giving it plenty of flexibility in look and wear however it will mark and that really bothers some people! The ROO Ti either 44 or 42 depending on what size you prefer, the ceramic bezels are amazing and durable, plenty of strap options to change it up but these are big watches and depending wear are not the most versatile watches. |

I daily, a white AP Diver, love the heft, and the dial is the most readable I have had.

44 TI is a good choice as are the new 42s with CE bezels.

There are many options and without knowing your taste and region you deem to be a 'daily', difficult to offer advice. However, as mentioned above, I'd definitely look at a robust, perhaps ceramic, bezel, as that's the main bit that's going to get knocked.
My options? As things stand the 44RG or 44Ti, depending upon colour preference - assuming you're ok with a 44 watch. |

Love the idea of a 44mm watch. I’m feeling the Ti over the RG for a change. Are the 44 Ti’s readily available in boutique or would I have to rely on the grey market? Also any chance you know what the price range is for the Ti? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

ROC has been mine as of lately. Had the diver, didn't enjoy it really at all. 44 is just to big for my taste now.

Okay so I had a look online (chrono24) to check the prices for the ROO 44 Ti and I found several unworn pieces for about $28,000. That is considerably lower than the boutique price, what's the catch?
Is there a downside to buying outside the boutique? Does AP frown upon this? |

No downside so long as the supplying AD has stamped the warranty card. Doesn’t matter what AP think, it’s a legitimate sale of a commodity that they produce — so quite worrying about their feelings or feeling guilty for saving money they’d have forced you to hand over in exchange for the item. |

wore the Royal Oak Chrono 41mm for a while, I had a corporate gig back then, and the royal oak is the best way to bring some umph into work while still playing it classy.
Now that I run my own business and dress business casual, I find the Safari ROO 42MM to be an excellent daily wear. |
