The In 'n Out VS Mcdonalds Fries Debate !!

Trying to settle this for colleagues at work - which do you prefer?

Mcdonalds or In 'n' Out fries? This is probably only applicable mostly to west coasters as there are no in and outs in other places. Please only vote if you had tried BOTH.

There’s no debate here.

In N Out has the superior burger, McDonald’s has the superior fries.

Simply ask McDonalds for fries with no salt. They’ll always be fresh

Compared to their burgers which can be pretty good, I've found the In N Out fries a big disappointment. They weren't bad right out of the bag, but once they started to cool a little, the flavor went away. I'm sure if I knew the right 'special' code, I'd like them more, but I'm really not looking to put in that kind of effort for a simple side order.

McDonald's for sure. Interestingly I found out you can ask in n out to make the fries crispier, but I found that it made them too close to chips

There is no debate. In-N-Out fries are possibly the worst fries I have ever eaten. I would rather eat microwaved frozen french fries. And "well done" fries are even worse. No amount of "animal style" sauce can make them better. McDonald's by a landslide. Not that I eat fast food all that much, but I would argue they are the best fast food fries out there.

Well if those are the only 2 choices, Mcdonalds for sure. But I think the best fries period are from Five Guys.

agree, as a kid my dad would get the family burgers from In N Out then swing by McDonalds for the fries. These days I just get the In N Out fries well done and they are much tastier.

I'm with you. Five Guys burger and fries are better than Mcdo and In n Out - but that's just me.

In N Out are better for you because they are unpalatable and remain in the bag.

That didn't take long....nothing else to see here.

However, In N Out fries cooked "light well" are really good. Their fries are normally undercooked and soggy.

We have a winner!!!!! Pulled a McDonalds fry out from under the seat of the truck today. Haven’t eaten McDonald’s in the truck in 3 months. It looked like a fresh one. That is bad.

Never been to In and Out or whatever it is. But the consensus is their fries are terrible.

To me in and out has lost it all. The burgers aren’t like they were before. I also agree with there that 5 guys win the burger war. Mcd still has the fries and I enjoy the occasional Big Mac.

Never been to in and out sadly. I feel at this point the hype will do it a disservice when I finally do.
