New Omega SMP

I absolutely love this watch.

5dvwcl.jpg

It is a great compliment to my Rolex 16710. They share equal wrist time.

Congrats on snagging one before they are all gone!

It is a classic for sure - a go anywhere, do anything, wear with anything timepiece.

Congrats. I have the same combo. SMP and GMT-II. I've taken to wearing my SMP on a black rubber strap lately. Gives it a very cool look.

Agreed, that thing is beautiful. Can I ask what you paid? There are a couple that are reasonably priced here.

You got a fine looking watch, Bob. I hope you enjoy wearing it. Like you, I got one while they were still available and I like mine. Cheers, Bill P.

I saw this post and really love the look of this watch. The sword shaped hour and minute hands really strike a cord with me. Kinda reminds me of the rarer military subs with these hands as opposed to the benz-style hands. Seriously, the only other (sport) Omega that has ever caught my eye like this one is the orange bezel planet ocean.
Lately I wave been considering a sub but that's another story. I went to the mall yesterday shopping for christmas and to my surprise saw the 2254-50 in the display window. Tried it on and really liked how it felt on my arm. The saleswoman explained how this was probably the last one they'd ever see at the store; how someone almost bought it earlier that afternoon and the whole jazz LOL... she offered a nice discount and I almost pulled the trigger before I left the shop. I got about 200 paces away before turning back and giving that SMP a new home

Seems to look great on anyone's wrist. Tried it on today and fell in love. Probably gonna buy the 2254.50 sometime in the near future.

Better hurry, its discontinued. I understand that what is out there at the ADs is all that is left in the pipeline.

Give Fr John a yell, his AD may have one left and gives a good price.

I answered this via private message then realized that we're not dealing in espionage here. $1565 from Alan Furman. What everyone has said here is true -- they are first-rate to deal with.

There are no alternatives, your watch looks great but it's not the same as a 2254. I love the oversize numbers on the bezel and the sword hands with the big applied markers. I can't believe Omega decided to retire this watch.
