Up for sale is a Rolex Explorer II 1655, aka the Steve McQueen “orange hand” Explorer. The watch comes with all its original boxes, booklets, hand tags, original Toronto warranty certificate papers and Toronto Rolex Service Center papers.

The serial number is 6,347,XXX, produced late 1979. The watch was purchased in Toronto in 1981 and serviced once, by Rolex Toronto in 1988. During the service the watch had a light polish. The chamfers on the lugs are still fully intact and clearly visible. Purchased from the second owner, who bought it in 1988 from the original owner (after he did the RSC service).

The watch is in incredible condition and the patina is as nice as you’ll ever see on the 1655. There are no major scratches or dings on the watch, and the movement is telling perfect time. The watch is fitted on a full size 93150 bracelet.

Bump. $25,000 USD. There were a few questions regarding if the 93150 bracelet was original to the watch. I don't know if it was but the "93150" was listed as the bracelet on the Rolex Service Papers from 1988, which can be seen in the photos.
