CHNR - more like 6542 than Root Beer

The new two-tone GMT 12671CHNR is by many referred to as the Root Beer, but not by Rolex as far as I know. The bezel insert colors actually resemble the original GMT 6542 quite a bit more. It looks more deep red than traditional brown in real life. A stunning piece IMO. Hope to get my hands on one soon. Here are some 6542 comparison images.

it's funny, the very first picture I saw of the CHNR, I said, wow, they made a coke bezel for a TT! I still have not seen one in person, but I tend to agree from the variety of photos I've seen, it really does look almost like a red/black.

The China really is just a new standalone watch.

Looking forward to seeing this one in person, hopefully sooner than later.

This makes me wonder how the CHNR insert would look on a full stainless watch with PVD'd platinum numbers rather than RG.
