Wallet suggestions needed...
I have a basic sized bifold leather wallet that I put credit cards, a few pictures, business cards and a few other odds and ends in. It tends to get too thick. I was thinking about buying one of those leather magnetic money clips to put some cash and a few essential items, ie, debit/credit cards in. I also wanted to buy a slimmer, smaller leather wallet that I could put the non-essentials in. I don't want to spend more than $100, but would love to keep it way lower. And it does not have to be a designer brand. Any suggestions and/or ideas?

Choosing a new wallet sucks. I got a new one this summer cause the one I had had since grade 7 kept falling apart, and my mom wouldnt fix it for me anymore. Took me over a month to find just the right one, and it was like $60.

the latest one i have from the wife is from Aspenal of London, and guess what, it would not accommodate a £50 note in height, and a £20 note will just fit, forget about fitting 5 x £20 notes, cos it will not fit.... you'd think a wallent made from a UK company would at least make it "large" enough to fit all sizes of GBP notes...

I have an alligator card-bifold that measures about 4" X 2 3/4". It holds my credit cards, license, insurance card, etc. Very handy.
Similar to the one pictured below, but mine has a see-through pocket on one side where I have my driver's license. Hope this helps! |

Someone recommended Tumi wallets. I did some research and norrowed it down to two...
http://www.tumi.com/meridian/multi-window-card-case/ http://www.tumi.com/meridian/gussete...-case-with-id/ I am leaning towards the first one. Why do they have the oval cut-outs on the ID windows? Looks kind of goofy. I like the fact that it has plenty of slots and it is small and compact. The second one is ok, but I am not a huge fan of gusseted card cases.

I have carried a wallet from Brighton for several years:
http://www.brightonretail.com/store/...search_results You can't wear the damned things out, they hold a pretty good stack of bills in the money clip and the single pocket easily accommodates your license and couple of credit cards. Best of all, you can carry it in your front pocket - even when wearing jeans Highly recommended Best, Skip |

John, thanks. What models did you have? Any of the ones I provided links for? I am leaning towards this one...

to remove the ID easier, you can slide it out with your thumb...

Wallets for guys are a real personal item and everyone has their personal likes and dislikes. I use a magnetic money clip in my front pocket for cash and a very slimdcard only holder for drivers licence, insurance cars and 2 credit cards, it can be carried in front pocket or inside pocket of sportcoat/suit.
I've never been a fan of big thick wallets in the rear pocket. I've seen guys open their wallet and everything but the kitchen sink is in it, most of it will never be needed, receipts from years ago, etc. Good luck! |

I really like my Perry Ellis Slimfold Portfolio wallet, I have 2, one in black, the other in brown. They're inexpensive and widely available. I see them regularly at Macy's, JC Penny's and Kohl's. I just googled it:

I don't use one. I put my bank card in the soft sleeve it came in, and I place the magnetic side of two credit cards facing the sleeve to help keep the magnetic strips from being damaged. I then stack other cards, receipts, my card access key for my residence, my medical insurance card and drivers license. One side of the "stack" has my ID face up, the other has my main credit card face up. The entire thing is generally less than 1/4" thick and I carry that in my front pants pocket. Money goes in the other front pocket.

I got a crazy deal on a coach wallet that was probably way out of season but it is very nice nonetheless!

I am bringing this thread back up from the dead
I bought the Perry Ellis Slimfold Portfolio wallet based on David's recommendation. I had it for about a year. Not a bad wallet, but it wore down pretty good. I was at the King of Prussia Mall today and stopped into the Tumi store. I picked up the Merdian Multi Window Card Case... http://www.tumi.com/meridian/multi-w...d-case-100749/ Man, talk about nice quality. Tumi has a two year limited warranty. I considered the Gusseted Card Case with ID looked pretty cool, but I was never crazy about gusseted compartments. Quote:

Just buy a few Rolex's, then you have no use for a wallet.

Louis Vuitton wallet for me... it took me 2 months to find the right one. After a year, it still looks/feels near brand new. And if you have any problem with it, you can take it to any LV boutique and they replace it without even needing your receipt.
Great service. http://louisvuitton.com/us/flash/ind...=home_entry_us
