NYC Boutique Inventory
Stopped by the 57th Street Boutique a couple hours ago for a quick stroll and to get my 15300 sized. Light on Stainless models but did have a Silver 15400 available. Mostly precious metal pieces in stock including a gold Jumbo. They quoted the following time frames on Stainless pieces:
Blue 15400 - 1 Year Blue 15202 - 1.5 Years Black 15400 - 3-4 months The rep mentioned the 15450 were selling quick also to both male and females. Overall good experience and the boutique has recently been renovated ![]() |

Good info. Thanks for sharing. Did you happen to ask about the wait time for the 15450 blue dial?

Did they say anything about the wait time for the 15400 ruthenium? There seemed to be a one month wait when I was there back in April. I'm on the list for the blue 15400 but won't find out until the end of this year if I'll get allocated one and if I'm not then I might go for the ruthenium. I'm just hoping the wait time isn't getting longer as I wait.

The question being - is supply intentionally being limited vs. previous years, or has demand increased beyond what they can make.

With AP it is more supply manipulation than with PP and Rolex which is just overwhelming demand, but ofc rising prices will attract more buyers/flippers to AP too.

Seems the recipe is simply be to privately owned, where the owner's profits (and greed) can be sufficiently controlled, leading to ability to control supply. Make them into some conglomerate and everyone will want a bigger piece, and milk the cow dry...bye bye supply control.

i agree only because the secondary prices are not hugely inflated PP or Daytona style for most of their WL pieces ...there are a few that are legitimately huge demand pieces though and its not a 15400 blue or a SS 15202. The secondary prices seem to indicate they should be easier to get than they are therefore there is some added supply manipulation there in addition to demand which isnt as strong.

I was there with a good friend and we saw the 15400 silver, too. Lots of people in & out of the boutique. Lots of color options for the other models ....

Curiously though, I have seen a good few SS Nautili out and about in the wild. One on a Ryanair flight even. Never seen a jumbo though, or indeed AP in general.

Let’s not forget total production numbers Vs models
Patek are around 50,000 per annum and AP is 40,000 But then you need to consider range diversity PP produce roughly 33 variants in the Nautilus range and 15 in the Aquanaut, for comparison AP list 102 variants in the Royal Oak range alone. |

Then you have a true LE which is the CE PC and they don't even advertise the fact they only made 50 ![]()

Also deliberate holding back supply is clear by all three!
Just look at the TT and to a degree the PM variants of popular SS models that are available and sitting in AD’s windows. |

Is the Ce PC 50?! I’ve seen two recent Le Brassus tours with pictures of a few still in testing! Submarino’s recent visit over Art Basel displaying a picture with five still in production. |

its just weird though they slap the LE label on a lot of stuff but not this? it is very odd as even if it was hypothetically a regular production piece they still couldn't make very many but a watch they make 1000 of gets a LE notation.

However they can continue if they wish! But then to throw a spanner in the works the Ce chrono tourb announced at SIHH which was originally released on strap has been changed to a complete Ce head and bracelet, so in essence they have just doubled their workload over night ![]() |

Maybe as they are holding production on 40,000 they must forecast production well in advance so with the non LE they have production slotted in for each year where as an LE has a limited run as something else is to fulfill that slot in the next year or two?! |
