Looking at a couple of Datejust tomorrow

I think the Datejust would really compliment my Sub, definitely want the fluted bezel, but really can’t decided on the bracelet, like them both.

Does anyone know the weight difference between the smooth and fluted versions? I like a heavier watch having had a couple Breitling’s in the past.

Apologies if this has been covered before, just excited at the prospect of a second Rolex.

As you've already got a Sub. The jubilee bracelet for the DJ is the best option.

My first Rolex was a 16233 bought in the late 80's when I was in my late 30's. In 2000, on the occasion of my 50th birthday, I bought a new Sub Date. To me, these are a great pair (although a few years later, I bought a 16710 so I have three total). I think everyone should experience the Jubilee bracelet but I only like it on the DJ and not sport watches or the new GMT Pepsi.

So TT or SS, the DJ on a Jubilee bracelet is a great next choice. I like the fluted bezel on the TT but smooth on the SS.

My favorite DJ41’s have the fluted bezel with the jubilee bracelet and blue or rhodium faces.

Definitely go Jubilee, and go fluted TT, I’ve had mine on for a month now, really liking it. I went green Roman, if I had to do it over, I would probably go sticks.

Fluted/jubilee/slate dial with green Romans is my favorite right now, followed by rhodium stick.

If everything is good with the DJ you select I would go with the Jubilee to change up from the oyster. You really can not make a bad choice though as they are both great.

funny thing is I picked the fluted jubilee version especially for its light weight besides the classic looking. My36 dj is only 114g. Perfect for a daily watch. To compare the Dblue is 202 g, BLNR is 146 g and DD is 168g.

Thanks, given the size of the Dblue I would’ve expected it to be more than that.

Tried one once, was like having two 16610’s on, would still really like on though.

I personally have my eye on a fluted jubilee, white dial. If you dont have any other white dials I'd say this would be a great companion to your Sub. The 36mm gets the added benefit of a roulette date wheel, and will probably be updated with the new movement next Basel

You could also be an outlier and go smooth/jubilee :-)
