YG DD stretch on 18038
I recently purchased my first Day Date. I love the clean look and unique dial. There is some stretch on this bracelet that ideally I would like to rectify and I would like the input from fellow owners. How much would it roughly cost to refurbish the band? I have reached out to a Mr. Michael Young in HK, but have yet to hear back from his company. How much is a brand new band? If curious, I purchased this piece for $11k.

New is roughly 15K USD. Maybe a bit more.

M.Y. Is the only way to go... did mine in 2013 with him (same model number, same band) and it came back perfect in about 75 days... his price is right at 1200 USD

You should also call Mike at Sand Hill Watch Co. in SF. Restored my jubilee to mint and turn around was about ten days all-in.

Do all of these bands have brushed side links and polished center links? This is a 1979

My jubilee had brushed side and polished center. He will also send an assessment on the condition of the hollow link that reflects how worn it is.

I did mine in 2013 as well, I think it was $1100 all in. Price can depend slightly on the amount of gold he has to use. Took about 60 days. I was very happy with the results.

That bracelet still has a lot of life in it. I would wear it for 5 years and then consider the bracelet treatment if needed.
My (rounded to five) two cents. |

After the bracelet repair: Wear it snug and clean it with soap and water frequently to prevent it from wearing out even further. |
