BNLR in Glasgow

One of the jewellers in the Argyll Arcade has just received a 3 year old BLNR GMT II. It’s going in the window today for £9,750, which I find absolutely ridiculous!! However if you’ve got the cash and you really want one, here it is. Cheers 😃

There is one just under £10k at Watchfinder now.
The prices are sneaking higher week by week.

Tulip bubble is starting to spring to mind.

It's a bubble, but an elongated one that will last for years to come.

Doesn’t surprise me, these jokers in Argyll Arcade should wear masks.
Probably one of the Chisholm Hunter stores lol

Had a wonder through the arcade yesterday

Can walk from one end to the other in 5 mins now. Nothing of interest in there now with anything pre-owned way over priced. I thought wos were mad at the time to have moved out but now I think it was a good move to get a clean break from the argyle ‘cartel’

We said that about a year ago so God knows what it is now.

You stop and look in Chisholm Hunters window (the ex WOS store), and within minutes they’re outside asking you who you’re looking to buy for etc.

Some of the stuff they’ve said and stories they’ve told about how collectible models are, and justifying shocking prices, make me now not even stop to look anymore.

I feel the need to educate them but can’t be bothered lol

“Argyle Cartel”

This is very much the case. Tom Coll will get my business in the future.

Crazy price. Hop on to a European trusted seller on Chrono24 and you pick one up brand new for less than £8.5k. Why would anyone pay this for a 3yr old watch?
