1665 Comex twins
This has been something of a lucky month. A week or so ago I posted images if the Bakelite 6542 which had just joined me, but in fact on 4th July I had shaken hands with a retired diver over this watch, that finally made it to my desk a couple of days ago:
![]() It was one of a batch of sixty and I have one of its sisters, with a case number fewer than 10 away and a Comex issue number fewer than 25 away: ![]() These rail dial versions with the unique 600m depth rating will have started life the same and it is interesting to note that the one with deeper coloration was the one apparently kept in a safe for many years. Have a look at a "plain" rail dial and --- apart from it being 610m rated --- consider the text at 6 o'clock. The Comex dial difference is more than a block of white paint. I hope to do a longer report with some macro images and greater detail about both watch and diver soon. Not a bad month, if someone could just lend me a fiver for some lunch! Haywood

No, I think that is just poor lighting and a feeble photographer. I can't afford a better set up!
