Vintage Hardlex Haze?

The hardlex on my 6139-6000 has some haze and I’d like to make it crystal clear. I know I could replace it but I t’s the original crystal with the metal ring so I’d like to keep it. Anyone have any tricks? I’ve heard of using Peek polish on a Dremel or by hand. Anyone have experience?

I have tried polywstch scratch remover (for crystal) on mineral glass and it works perfect on minor scratches. Not sure how different hardlex is or if its just some marketing name.
