What would you do?

If you had to choose between a 5711 blue and AP 15202? and you already own a 5712 and you are not a flipper.

15202 is a MUST have in a collection. In my opinion. One Nautilus is enough.

I’d rather a 5711 white :)

If you want diversity, AP should be your choice. If you really like and need the clean look of the 5711, that would be a great choice also, regardless of having the 5712. Personally, I would take the 5711 and replace the 5712 with another Patek.

between those two, it'd be 15202.
if it was 11R, however...

Assuming both at retail, I would get the 5711 because it is harder to get. The 202 can be added later with less wait.

It’s easy not to want to double up but I’d rank them

5712
5711
15202

So I’d take 11/12. Switch to 11white if you want a little more variety

Always get the 5711 blue. That's the unicorn of the watch world

The 5712 and 5711 are very different watches. Different movement, different dial, different complications. I have both and I still do not understand why some people say they are the same. They aren't.

I’d get the 5711, and would always get the watch I liked most and not choose one for the sake of diversity.

15202 is a killer watch. Really well executed and beautiful movement with a bracelet that is superior to that on the nautilus.

But when push comes to shove, we all want that damned 5711! Lol

The 5711 blue dial is the apex of stainless steel sports watches in terms of design and wearability. It feels like silk on the wrist and is incredibly legible and water resistant. The reason it sells for 15K over retail is because it's worth it. It also has the advantage over the 15202 of having a modern, user friendly movement. Try setting the date on your 15202 when it's the 26th of the month and your watch is showing the 3rd. I bet you'll give up after 15 minutes.

Agreed — I should added ‘for now’ — collection diversity first - redundancy second!!! You have to have a 202!!!!! Such a great watch.
