5164 and 5980 to 5990
I hated the 5990 when it first launched.... recently got to spend lots of time with it on wrist sized to me.... I have to say I love it in person.. At first I thought the pushers were at a bizarre angle. Then I thought the date at 12 o'clock was kind of ugly and just weird... but in person it all came together and wore like a brick... I kind of love it... worth going after or stick to a 5164 and 5980...

I’d entertain moving the 5980 for it but would be tempted to hold the 5164 personally because I just like that one too much

Funny enough the thick Nautilus don't do anything to me, I only find myself liking the thin ones, the limit being the 5726 which I also like, but thicker than that and I find it looses it's charm, it's great some like it, just not for me...

5164 and 5980 to 5990
Moving both 5980 and 5164 for 5990 sounds like too much loss for me. But if only moving the 5980 it may be more reasonable

I would assume just from a financial standpoint, the 5990 would be an even swap for the 5980. They both seem to be trading for roughly the same on the secondary market. If you can get the 5990 @ list and sell the 5980 for a premium, you should be ahead of the game.

I’d keep the 5164 and 5980, you get both complications when you need them and rubber strap optionality. I also prefer the 5980 to the 5990, but all that said, for one watch the 5990 is a great one.

I would have to agree with those who chose the 5990 over the 5980 and 5164 as it’s just an awesome piece.
However, I wouldn’t trade a 5980 and a 5164 for a 5990 as you would be taking a serious loss. Here’s my 5990... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have the 5164 and 5990. When i travel especially overseas I tend to take the 5164 more often. I like both and at one point almost parted with the 5990. Glad I did not. I do wear the 5990 but generally more when i am in town so may not use the GMT function on it. Maybe next trip overseas will go with the 5990
