I'm mostly a mountain biker and bought this Cervelo R5 just before X-mas just to do the Death Ride (https://deathride.com) so I trained and finished all 5 mountain passes 2 years back. Sucker only weights 13.8 lbs. Best money spent were on the bikes, worst money spent were on....Rolex

One of my mountain bikes

And another:

Touring in South East Asia border China mountainous region last November:

My avatar says it all. Been a Specialized die hard fan for many years, then I've set my foot on a Colnago and the rest is history. I can't see myself going back to a made in china frame anytime soon now...

More of a mountainbiker myself but I do have a 2004 Merlin Proteus with Campy for my occasional road rides. Here's my latest whip, a 2018 Scott Spark RC900SL, 21.4 lbs of goodness, large frame. Just got back from a week riding in Colorado, putting on a six hour mtb race this weekend.

Not sure how to post photographs but I ride a Parlee with eTap and Zipp 304s when dry, Focus Cayo if damp outside and hide inside on Zwift if it's raining.

Having a decent year about to hit 4000km with trips to ride the Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix and a week in the Pyrenees.

I only average about 3500 kilometers a year. Due to winter I ride from end of April till the end of October and don't ride indoors on a trainer any longer. I hate riding on a trainer so much I'd rather not even do it.

I have been dealing with some intermittent left knee pain this season so I am not riding as much as I'd like. I think I need a pedal with more float like Speedplay. I am currently using a Look type pedal with about 15 deg of float.

My current ride is a LeMond Washoe with Campagnolo Super Record. For a steel bike it is insanely light and is lighter than most guy's carbon Specialized bikes I ride with. Next bike will probably be a Colnago V2-R with electric shifting.

Sadly, given travel and other family obligations I don't get to ride as much as I like. But still jump in the saddle whenever time allows. This is my overhauled [last year] 2004 LeMond Ti/ Carbon.

Beware the semantics of "Made in (fill in the blank)" bicycle manufacturers.

Beautiful bike. The geometry of Trek manufactured era Lemond bikes was near perfection. I had an Alp D'Huez and Tete De Course from that time frame.

Thanks! Yep, love this frame. At 6'4” it's barely big enough for me but makes for a comfortable ride and she loves to climb.

There’s something special about a bike that is properly dialed in, hearing nothing as you slice thru the air.
