The Ultimate Poll II - You Can Pick Only One...Who's the Champ!
I thought after watching the results of Moby33's poll we could continue it by taking the top 3 and have them go head to head with a few of the other popular models not in the first poll.
Time for another vote..

I by the way still chose a Submariner as my choice. If I could only own one watch for the rest of my life, I would choose a TT Sub. Classy, works with jeans, a tuxedo or a swimsuit. Perfect for all occasions. It would be the black dial even though I looooove my Bluesy, black would be more practical because it goes with everything!

I just joined your forum today - some great discussions on here.
I was never attracted to Rolex til I saw a Milgauss a few weeks ago. I really wanted one, then changed my mind and really wanted a Datejust Turnograph. And yesterday I changed my mind again, and now I really want a GMT Master II! So that's what I voted for... Which means that I have a really tough decision to make in January when I'll take the plunge and buy my first... either that, or this'll turn out to be really expensive! |

There seems to be a few missing; what about the Yacht Master and Milgauss for starters, not to forget the TT models in Gmt and Sub and the list goes on.

Interesting poll. One year ago, I asked myself the same question. My very modest collection at the time consisted of:
*(2) DateJusts (Black Face TT with stick indices, White Face TT with Roman indices) *Cartier Tank *Breitling TT Blue Face *Omega Speedmaster *Omega Seamaster 2254.50 *Old Hamilton *Movado *(3) Tag Automatics *etc., with a few yet not listed At the time, I specifically searched for a GMT II, Coke and found a new one at my AD. I thought, "if I buy just one more, this would be it." The watch (really the model/style/looks) had significance dating back to my late teens, but I overlooked the desire as many years passed. I found it, a new late Z series, bought it and have worn it less than 20 times in the year. It remains my favorite. Yet, just a week ago, I visited the AD with the same question...if I could have one (more)...with an in-stock choice of new "M" Pepsi, "M" Coke, SS Daytona (Black, but sold as I was shopping the case, at MSRP), Milgauss Black and "V," GMT II-C's in SS and TT, Subs in SS, TT (Blue and Black) and ND, and SD in SD and DSSD, as well as a case full of DJ's, Explorers, DD's, etc., I asked myself the same, if I could have one more... I chose the SS Sub-Date, "M" series. I am hopeful I may be able to ask myself the same question in the future, but if not, I'm happy with my choices, and trust likewise your choices smile kindly upon you. Best Wishes, Golfster |

Kind of suprised the DD hasn't faired better as it's such an iconic Rolex. Next to the Sub I believe it is the most copied (faked) in the world. Interesting..
