AD said that Tudor does not come with extra straps anymore!!

Hey guys.. i went to AD in Bandung, Indonesia just to have a look.. went to Tudor section, and the salesperson told me that since last month, Tudor BB and Pelagos (maybe also others) does not come with extra straps like before.

So, if you buy Pelagos, you just get the bracelet. No extra rubber strap
If you buy BB Pepsi GMT, you just get either bracelet/fabric/leather. Only one.

Can anyone confirm if this is the case with your ADs?

Thanks !

True story. They are trying to make their straps seem “more special”

Yes, is the same in UK. Might find an AD with older stock who will provide extra straps as part of deal but unlikely.

Correct. Tudor had them all removed from existing stock as well to sell separately. I think it was end of June when it had to be done.

Not an elegant move, because the box still has compartment for straps, but empty

Yup.. for me two of the main reasons is the price and rubber strap for pelagos.
If i need to buy the rubber for $200, then its not so desirable.
Just get a rolex, not a poor man’s rolex.
Or even other brands, like speedy

It used to be that there were Tudor models which were duplicates of Rolex models; maybe it was true at that time. That is a long time in the past. Since there is no overlap in names or style it is no longer true and saying it is truly an admission of ignorance.

What Tudor has become is the brand that allows Rolex to stray from tradition and do things they'd never dream of with the Rolex brand name on the watch. They've really become a hot item. Lady Gaga is a pretty good brand ambassador for the brand imho.

Regarding the original post, when I got my THBBN it didn't have the two slot case of the fabric strap. It wasn't particularly hard to fix that. The better fix was getting the Everest strap for it.
