1986 Rolex Datejust Ref. 16030 Grey Tapestry Dial - Box & Papers, RSC Serviced
Here we have a great example of the legendary Rolex Datejust, reference 16013. This watch has an 8.93M serial number indicating circa 1986 production. This Datejust is all original, with a scarce grey tapestry dial that has developed a killer patina on the hour markers and has the hands to match. It’s powered by the Rolex caliber 3035 automatic movement with quickset date. This watch is accompanied by its original inner and outer boxes, warranty certificate, certificate holder, booklet, and a service card from RSC indicating a just completed June 2018 factory service.
Condition is per the photos and as follows: Case: 36mm case in excellent condition as pictured. The case is free from any major scratching, dings, or dents, has very crisp brushing on the lug tops and bright polished case sides. Case serial is 8.93M dating production to circa 1986 which is also the date on the papers. Bezel: Fixed engine turned stainless steel bezel. The bezel is in excellent condition and does not have any major scratches, dings, or dents, and has crisp detailed lines. Dial/Hands: Original dial and hands in excellent condition. The dial is a grey vertical striped "tapestry" dial with stick markers. The original tritium hour dots have faded to a creamy, even patina that is matched by the tritium in the original hands. Caseback: Original caseback in excellent condition as shown. Crystal: Domed acrylic crystal in excellent condition. There are no deep scratches, chips, or cracks in the crystal. Movement: Rolex caliber 3035 automatic movement with quickset date. The movement is in excellent condition and keeping great time. All functions work as they should. Service papers are included but undated. Bracelet/Strap: Original jubilee bracelet in outstanding condition with very little stretch for its age. Box/Papers/Accessories: The original inner and outer boxes, warranty certificate, certificate holder, booklet, and a service card from RSC indicating a just completed June 2018 service are all included. Price is $3950 shipped insured FedEx overnight CONUS via PayPal or wire (3% discount for wire). US sale preferred, international sales will pay the cost of shipping. Face to face in the Boston area also welcome. I have many references available. Please feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking! |
