Don't take this the wrong way but, ...........
...... I hate you all!!!
I haven't even taken delivery of my SS Daytona and i'm already thinking of which watch i'd like next. Thinking either a GMT or a Milgauss. Once again, I hate you all. My hatred isn't aimed at a particular person or group. Its more general than that. Just think of it as all encompassing!!!! :t humbsup: |

Welcome to the addiction we call Rolexitis. It is chronic and incurable. Learn to live with it.

Once you are in this forum, you will keep on wanting more and more. It has happened to me. It is contagious. Unfortunately, I think you've already got the disease.

All of the above are correct. You are at your weakest for another right after buying one, and sadly your judgement is also the worst. I speak from experience.
Take a few days to plot out your watch needs. 1. Get dressed up a lot or hardly ever? 2. Travel a lot? 3. Want to collect a lot of a single brand or diversify? 4. How many total watches do you think you want to eventually own? Act rashly and you flip too frequently and that gets costly. Congrats on an awesome watch. The ones you have in mind are super nice too and I own both. Personally, I'd get a date and a second time zone function watch before the Millie which has neither. |

THIS AFFLICTION IS INCURABLE!!!!!
I tried to self cure by selling off my Black Dial Z series GMT earlier this year...."I don't need %#$! $5k watch to be happy......really I don't" By June I'm checking Craigslist....."Maybe a nice used Omega or something will come up, I could probably get a great one for a grand, it'll be my only watch" So I find this...... All seems ok, until a few weeks ago when my wife and I drop by a local AD, to browse for her! They've just received this discontinued GMT, and they're blowing it out at almost 60% off retail....She tells me I can't pass it up and i don't. Two days later, I try to even things out by buying her this. Now I'm back checking TRF several times a day, "I never should have sold the GMT, Honey, can you believe what they're going for? It sure would be nice to have (1) Rolex.....If I can only have one it's gotta be a classic like the No Date Sub" She humors me well. A few days ago, she gives me a birthday card that says to go ahead and get the Submariner. Ponycar350 comes through with a great 14060m COSC (NIB) and ships it overnight to arrive yesterday (my birthday). Sorry for the long post but here's main point! After all of this, as I'm wearing my new Sub, and enjoying a birthday dinner with my family, I start daydreaming about finding a nice Pepsi GMT. THERE IS NO CURE!!!!!!! |

On the bright side, it's cheaper than hanging out on the Lange or Patek sites.

I was in the same boat as you about 8 weeks ago. I knew which watch I was getting and didn't actually take delivery of it yet, and was already decided on the next watch. ... haven't taken delivery of that one yet .. but I hated everyone just like you. You'll see, once you get it, you'll feel part of the community.
Im surprised JJ didn't respond with something similiar to this -> :bartmoo n: :r ofl: |

You just reached the point of no return!!!! Good for the heart, bad for the wallet!!!
It gets worse, next thing you know you will want a Panerai, and then start looking at other brands Maybe JLC, Maybe Vacheron perhaps a Patek!!!! the cravings are ferocious, you start making a list of potential next watches, you start thinking of new ways of saving money to feed your addiction, it is all about how much do you need to put aside for that next watch, every unexpected expense hurts you like hell because it scratches your watch fund!!!! Can you stop?!?!?! yes but withdrawal is hard like in any addiction, you suffer when you see all those beautiful watches at your AD, when you read the posts at TRF, when you see those watch magazines! You might get over it but in the end you are still a Watchaholic there is no cure, just willpower… and those endless justifications: I work hard I deserve a little perk, Its my birthday, it was a real bargain, it is a long term investment, it really is something I want to pass to my son, it was our anniversary. But just one truth: you lust those little micro mechanical marvels !!!!! jajajajaja Go ahead, trust your lust, go for the GMT next, you won't regret!!!!!! Time is of essence!!!!!

Join the club...
I found this place as I was looking for a SD. I have a DJ I have loved but I knew it was time to step up and grab the SD as the end is near so I bought the SD NIB off a great member here (HKPerf). Well that wasn't enough... I had to have the DSSD and got the first one in Michigan. I started getting the itch and realized I could really use the ability to track another timezone when traveling and found a nice vintage GMT Now I am talking to someone trying to find a Tudor Sub ND with the Snowflake hands.... I figure the SD, DSSD, Tudor ND Snowflake and when I can afford it a LV... I think that would be a GREAT Rolex dive collection!
