Air king advice

Hello everyone. Would you pay $2000 for an air king 14000 in really good condition? Comes with paperwork and box.

The old Air Kings are 34mm and that would be a bit small for me, so I wouldn't do it.

I have done (well $2,200) and flipped it. The one I bought was an 1989 model.

If you want that watch then its a good deal. Just make sure you are happy with the 34mm definitely try it on alongside some other watches, it just felt too small for me, I wore it on a brown leather strap which helped a little but got rid of it after 6 months or so.

But I don't think you can argue with that price if its in good condition with box and papers.

Absolutely. If everything adds up, that is a very good price. I’d be careful though - seems very cheap considering it’s a full set.

It's a good price if the watch is legit and in very good condition.

Yes I would echo this actually. I bought mine less than a year ago and it was 16 years older with slight damage to the crown with no box and papers and it was still more that $2,000.

That’s a great price. Especially in really good to excellent condition. But it is a small watch. I have that watch but with the machined bezel (14010) and my girl wears it. And it’s the perfect size. I wore it for years but now it’s just way too small but perfect as a woman’s watch.

I totally agree. I owned that watch for 10 years and loved it. Traded it in for the 116710LN as I wanted something bigger with more functionality. The 14010 is a great first Rolex but at 34mm is too small for me now

I think this is value. I love my silver 5500, but would have quickly bought a very fine condition 14000 set for 2k. If it was slate gray I would have even paid a small premium. Not from a resale perspective, but because I love the gray and blues too.

Sounds like a good price. I bought one a few years ago with box and papers and I like it. Size-wise it is a personal preference thing. I am a fairly big guy and I like it.

$2k for a 14000 is a steal right now

If there is absolutely no doubt about watch being authentic, my answer is: YES!

I have the opportunity right now as well to purchase a AK 14000 with full set for 2400 but I’m on the fence as you were.

A Rolex with papers at $2000, as long as it's in good condition you can't really lose.

I love those 34mm Air-Kings. Price sounds too good to be true though. Unless it’s in poor condition.

If you can scoop one for that price, don’t hesitate.

They’re cracking watches- discreet and can slide under the radar, but is everything Rolex that we love.

That's a good price. I was looking for one for my wife and they were all higher than that by $500-$1,000

I would not because I could not wear it (too small for me), but the price seems pretty good for that watch
