Incoming DJ 41

Hi all, Have been looking at these for a while, trying to work out which combo I wanted. Colour wise, I liked the white and blue. I tried rhodium but while lovely it didn’t sing to me, and my other watches are black dials. I don’t generally like white dials (skydweller aside which is more pearl in its appearance) so plumped for the blue which I understood was the more difficult to find.

Re bracelet, I was always sure I’d go with oyster, however when trying on the end link goes over the end of the case which makes the watch sit slightly too wide on my wrist. Have never really tried a jubilee, but once I had I wondered why I’d never considered before. The way it moulds itself to the wrist is outstanding with no sticking out over the lugs, and the clasp/easy link mean adjustments are a breeze.

The last question was fluted or smooth. I was always dead set on fluted but tried the smooth and jubilee combo and was immediately taken with it. Enough bling to be a little dressy, but not too dressy so ok with jeans/t shirt. Really versatile.

So that was it. Blue, jubilee, smooth. I did a bit of searching around and I was Lucky enough to find one today at mrsp (for love nor money could I get a discount) so pulled the trigger. Delighted with it and it fits a hole in my collection as I didn’t have anything that really fitted my occasional attire of shirts/suits although I am sure the Daytona could have done so.

Really like this. Very pleased with the pickup.

Edit - and I know my grass needs a water. It’s been a dry summer here for once!

Great choice, it looks amazing!
And I completely agree with you about the Jubilee bracelet "The way it moulds itself to the wrist is outstanding with no sticking out over the lugs" I too prefer it over the oyster bracelet

Cheers Clive. We do. No fluted for me though. I love the fluted, but this suits the multiple uses I need slightly better for me (believe me, the polished bezel is bling enough). Awesome though. Can’t believe I’ve only just become a jubilee convert. Super comfortable, and if I’m not mistaken a bit lighter.

I can completely relate. I was not a fan of the Jubilee bracelet - at all. To the point where I didn’t think I’d buy a 126710 even if I had the option. Then a friend of mine got his hands on one and I tried it on and I instantly feel in love with it. The watch (of course. The watch itself is beautiful), the jubilee bracelet, the combination of the two.

It just goes to show that you can look at a watch all you like but trying it on, wearing it, feeling it, seeing it on you... it is an entirely different experience.

Congratulations. That’s the same model combo I’m looking to go for. Just waiting to hear back from my contacts on a discount before pulling the trigger.
