I know the owner of a camera store where I buy most of my gadgets from, he wears an all gold president with diamonds, man that thing is flashy. He is a very nice gentlemen and very friendly, I just can't keep a conversation without taking a glimpse of the watch once a while

If it makes them smile, it's fine with me..
I am not into diamonds either, but then again I wasn't into Rolex a few years ago.. I learned to never say never..

I don't see what's wrong with them, I get the same satisfaction looking at my black diamond DJ as well as my TT TOG, LV and 5513. Guess I am different but the diamond dial smile at me.

Not for me - but in certain circles and walks of live I'm sure it would be perfectly acceptable. Different strokes for different folks.
Some of the DDs with diamond hour markers can be surprisingly subtle!

I brokered a deal for a friend on a TT Blue Sub with the slate serti dial...I have to admit it looked very nice and is not over the top. That said, I can't see myself owning one though either!

If you like a dress watch with diamonds it seems fair enough to me. I haven't got the class to carry it off or the wallet. But what I don't get are the tool models e.g. Sub Certi with diamonds and precious metal. Wonder why Rolex never made an Explorer out of gold and diamonds. It would probably sell.

I think it is all a matter of what you like. There are some here that would never concider wearing an all gold watch for the same reason one would not be into diamonds.
Personally, I like gold and I like diamonds, but thats just me. My wedding band has a 3/4 diamond solitaire and I have a 2.5k right hand ring. I do not always wear it, but I do like it. I see post of people who feel it is garish or do not like that look. I say thats what makes us all different. As far as a Rolex with diamonds, I have seen some models that are tastefully done. These are usually Rolex that have stock diamond dials or bezels. I have seen others that ugly and over the top. Those usually are aftermarket add ons.

It's no different than someone liking black dials, white dials, SS, TT or gold watch bands. I don't have a problem with it and it's simply a matter of whatever smiles at a person.
I personally don't care for diamonds on the watch itself but do like them on the dial. No, I don't have any on my Rolexes but I wear a couple of large diamond rings. It's all a matter of what turns you on!!!

I like a wee bit of bling! A nice original factory diamond dial can look the business, I recently looked at a DD with a dia bezel, it looked a bit too ott but each to their own!

I went to my AD looking for a DJ Blue Jubilee Dial with flutted bezel and Jubilee bracelet. He didn't have it nor has he heard of it. I bought the White Jubilee Dial with Diamonds instead since he gave me such a great deal. I didn't want it at first either, but I fell in love with it after.

I would have an old school day date yellow gold with full diamond bezal anyday or even diamond markers or hell even both. I do not think I would be able to wear it in the open at work though as my air-king and sub already draw a great deal of attention that I do not want or need.

I like some ...... not others.
I recently saw a GMT with diamond markers, but no bling on the bezel, it was not over the top, but i think would have looked better in SS, not TT (still cant get my head round the TT GMT II BB, i think TT is only any good on beery goodness!)
