Icon5 Rolex DD 40 in Yellow Gold silver or white dial

Hello,

I have been looking at adding a Day Date 40 to my collection. I looked at AD today and I have decided the YG looked better than the White Gold and I already have a Batman and Explorer 1 and a DJ 41 silver fluted dial.

What dial would you recommend? I saw the Silver Roman numeral today and I thought it was great. However, I have heard from my WIS friends to also look at YG with the White dial Roman numeral dial also.

Do you prefer the YG with White or Silver Roman Numerals? Should I also be considering another dial color too? I think the champagne it too much gold.

I appreciate your help

Also, I will be selling the DJ 41 with the Silver Dial when I purchase the new DD 40 in yellow gold.

Thank you

I am a huge proponent of a white dial. Such a clean and classic look. Love it on a DD particularly.

I usually say white dial but on a YG DD40 the silver dial is hands down the best looking one especially with the deconstructed roman numerals. White looks a little too plain.

Think the gold dial looks classic with a DD.

See both together and the answer we come to you. I went black dial with YG as it really made it pop. You can't go wrong with either. Enjoy the experience

Pictures would help ... but I think the silver has more of a sunburst effect to it which might add some color depth.

The legibility of the silver isn't as sharp as the white. Go white, its sharp, clean and in yrs from now it will be easy to read

I tried on a white dial and hopefully will make one mine in the near future. My vote goes to the white dial

I prefer the sunburst dials, so silver for me by a long shot. Like Brian said, it adds a depth to the color of the dial that is mesmerizing, IMO. However, if you saw it in person and weren't blown away with to the point you have to ask us, then maybe it's not for you.

This is a big purchase...don't listen to your "WIS" friends, or us, for that matter. Get the one that makes your heart flip every time you put it on. Or else, what's the point?
