Icon2 114060 or 116610LV

I’m in the midst of a first world dilemma...

I have the oppurtunity to purchase either the 114060 or 116610LV at an AD. I like both equally BUT for different reasons.

I like the 114060 for the history, simplicity, and versatility.

I like the 116610 for the brashness, wow factor, and uniqueness.

Which would you get and why?

Trying to seek some knowledge from people who have been in the Rolex hobby for a lot longer than myself.

Thanks in advance!

I have both. Go with 116610LV. Unique in my opinion

Depends on which of these two questions is more important to you.

I like the 114060 for the history, simplicity, and versatility.

I like the 116610 for the brashness, wow factor, and uniqueness.

If you can get a LVc at your AD now, run and get it. Go man, go.....
The real world grey market price for the Hulk is now up to $13k USD and shows no sign of slowing down.

I say LV

If you don’t like I would imagine that it is easier to go from LV to 114060 that backwards.

I’d get the 114060, I don’t love the LV in pictures, and I’ve never seen one in person to really compare. A few weeks ago I saw my first Kermit, and liked it much better in person so I might change my opinion if I ever see one.

If it’s an only watch...I’d say 114060. In a collection....LV :)

Submariner (which is what the 114060 is called)

ETA: I'd get the 14060M or 16610LV over either ceramic.

Do you own any other watches? If yes, how does either fit? Does that matter at all to you?

Either is a great choice, can’t miss.

114060 for me. I don't like wearing green that much.

The lvc.....if I was looking at a no date sub I'd look @ a 14060 or previous generations if you want vintage. I don't buy maxi case watches but the aesthetics of the BLNR/LVC I make exceptions for.

The Hulk is spectacular but is difficult to find clothes that matches with green. I had a Kermit, it spent most of its life in the safe for that reason.

Many years ago when I shop for my first sub. I was given the option to choose between a black and LV.
I did not hesitate to pick the LV even though I thought that it would be my last piece of Rolex. But obviously I didn’t stop at LV

That LV matches any dressing. I’ve worn it shirt/pants, suits and even tees/shorts. Both the black and LV are versatile. It’s a SUB!
