Incoming questions
Hi fellow Rolex enthusiasts! I am new to this forum and I am picking up my first ever Rolex (a Hulk) later this week as I just got the call from my AD yesterday. This AD's policy is kind of strange in a way that I had to pay half of the price when I placed the order (I can't just be added to a wait list), and that was around mid June. None of the other AD's I went to had that kind of policy, but I paid anyway as he seemed to be pretty certain about the delivery date, which he quoted 3 months. To his credit, I am also on the wait list from another 2 stores before I paid the deposit at this AD, so he's indeed faster than everybody else as far as I know. My ultimate goal is to get a Pepsi and the 2 Daytona's. Last time when I was over at this AD to check on the status of my order, he said they were not accepting pre-orders for these 3 watches. Not sure if it will change when I walk in this week to pick up my Hulk as I will officially become his customer.
My first question to all of you is that since it's my first ever Rolex, is there anything I need to be aware of when I am picking up my Hulk? I am happy to pay a deposit for the any one of the 3 watches I mentioned above if he has a firm delivery date like he did for the Hulk, but do you all think that's a good idea? I hate tying up that much of money for an unforeseeable future that's longer than 6 months. Thanks and I will post pictures when I have it on my wrist! |
