Ok. I get it.
Ive tried on a few Nautilus versions. Clearly they are nice. But maybe I didn’t have enough exposure or experience to truly appreciate them?
Anyway, with a customer today and I could not stop looking. Of course I asked to get up close and personal. Blown away. Literally blown away. What a watch. But I do like something I can go anywhere with and do anything with. He wears this everyday. Thinking I can to. And for the times I need something more robust, maybe put on one of my Omegas. Because damn....

i love that watch. Its one of many dress watches i would want if i had an occasion for one. As far as Patek goes, id pick that before a calatrava.

Pateks feel lush in the flesh, not something pics can pick up easily, altho we have some amazing macro pics on a current thread here that paints a very impressive PP pictorial. Check out the 5396 with Breguet numerals as well, stunning AC piece also.

Glad to see he is wearing it and enjoying it. Slate dial is worth a look as well. I personally would lean 5396G slate with Romans.

I need something sporty. But seeing the quality of this, is making me realize a PP is in my future.
It’s a huge expenditure for me. So I’m taking my time. Well, if you know me, that means I have not yet ordered it. Or, considering it’s patek, found it. But I am thinking 5726. Love the watch pictured. But it’s only just fueled the fire and inspired the search. I don’t think I was ready in the past. I think I might be now. But I need to line up a lot of ducks in order to get there.

Super advice. Thank you.
For this price point, I need to. I’ll likely move half my collection too. But that’s ok. I’ve been wanting to consolidate anyway.

I honestly don’t remember what I had. I think I was too immature in my watch ways. But I’m starting to think it was the 5726 on steel. I’d get it on a strap now and change it to rubber. Call it a day. I do like the 5712 though. The more I look at it. I’m going to do some research and feel it all out. But price and of course availability is a factor. Maybe I’ll do nothing at all. But I do have a new appreciation after seeing this today.

I had the same sensation/experience when I tried on a 5327G with blue dial about two weeks ago. Grande complication, Breguet numerals, classic case/size, blue dial - what is not to love???

not to be a bad person, but the size of the movement for one... Isn't the 3940 a better execution of this design?

Guessing the price though. As with all these. Nothing short of stunning though. That’s for certain. I still absolutely love my DJ. And I think it’s nearly perfect in its execution. But there is definitely something to these works of art.

welcome to the dark side Seth. Advice: buy a perpetual over an annual and buy a 3940. Or even better a chronograph in a 5070/3970. Best

I now understand why the script on the sub dials are so big.
