Crown of 15450

Why is the 15450's crown big compared to other Royal Oaks?

Crown of 15450

Not mine - just an amazing photo ! Thought it was yours.

As to the crowns, perhaps the 400/450 needs a more robust, larger crown as it’s screw down.

Yeah, I think Burlington is spot on. The crown of the 450 is not large compared to all other Royal Oaks, but it is large compared to the non-screw-down crown on the extra-thin Jumbo, which is to be expected.

No - and with 50M water resistance. Although I don’t believe this number increases for the 450/400.

Also jumbo has a thinner case so needs a correspondingly thinner crown

Yeah, you shouldn’t go swimming with the Royal Oak Extra-Thin. Surprise!

Mainly with the 15400/15400 being a screw down crown. As well as the case is thicker.

The 15450 crown is actually on par with the majority of the RO range it’s just the Extra-thin variants that has this smaller crown as to keep in proportion to the thinner case and as above slightly different style crowns.
