Icon10 My First Grand Seiko’s...

My first Grand Seiko’s: Limited edition SBGR305 and SBGM221. What can I say except I am blown away by the quality and especially for the money. I initially wanted the 221 as loved it’s retro charm and ivory dial. Then I saw the 305 and fell in love with the textured dial and blue second hand. One is nicer than the other so I did what any watch fanatic would do I got them both. Thanks Adam for your GS passion which led me to take a hard look at the brand.

Both fantastic pieces, but wow, the GMT, must admit, that one really pops for me - can see why you'd grab both, there would be no way you could walk away without thinking you should have got the other one no matter which one you grabbed.

The hands on both are beautiful, love the shape.

Congratulations, just send me the GMT so you can miss it for awhile.....:-)

I have my first 2 Grand Seikos coming in this/next month too... One is the snowflake and the other is an ivory dial as well. Lol! I've been contemplating cancelling the snowflake for the 305 but am still on the fence.

Can you get a 305? If so I would get that and you can always add a Snowflake later. The 305 is a limited edition so if you can get I would. The Snowflake was my other option as well until I found a brand new 305. Both great dials this one just so crisp and clean to me. Congrats in advance!

I did consider getting both but I think they would be too similar in a collection (my subjective opinion). Doesn't stop me from asking myself "are you sure?" every few hours though

Thanks and congratulations to you too!

The 305 is right in between a snowflake and a 261
