Scratch on Rolex 16750 dial.

Hello everyone, I'm here to ask for advice: I have a 16750 and I love it. But for a long time I can't watch anymore a scratch on the dial, between 8 and 9 when the dial is full light. I'd like to bring it to my watchmaker to fix it. He told me the work is very simple and the result will be excellent (...I have seen many good works on his website). Do you believe it's a possibility or I have to keep it that way? Of course I'm also talking of loss of value...
I hope someone can give me some advice.
Thanks a lot.

I'd have the guy fix it.

Fix it. Once you see it you will always see it.

Is it a scratch, or a crack?

If its a scratch, get some polywatch and do it yourself

If its a crack, then i guess its a new acrylic crystal you need and your watchmaker to fix it

I think the scratch is on the dial, not the crystal.

A repair will affect the value, but the scratch also affects the dial. If you are absolutely confident in your watchmaker's skill, I don't see why you shouldn't do it.

Leave it, restored dials loose their value completely

If you want to keep the watch and wear it have it fixed if this scratch bothers you, but if you ever plan on selling don't.

A touch up or a partial respray will look better but will always be noticeable and will question the authenticity of the complete dial imho. Refurbished dials are poor sellers

I would leave it alone. It’s a rabbit hole of disappointment. You will def see the repair and it will drive you mad
