Potential purchase - 16710 GMT
Hi,
Hope I’m not breaking the rules, are we allowed to discuss potential purchases on the general forum? I’ve been speaking with a seller of a 16710 GMT (watch only). Says he paid £6800 and would like most back so figure he may take 6 to 6-5. A quick scan of pre-owned prices it seems about right, however it looks a bit over polished or maybe not well polished..? Nice watch. Looks like it has a couple of polishes under the belt. The pricing is nothing to get excited about (even at the low-end), especially without B&P. Hope this helps.

6800 pounds is roughly $8850. As far as value goes, I just sold a mint 16710, unpolished D serial, no holes case, with "Coke" insert last week for $8550.
Find something in your price range. Nice GMT II 16710s that are not sets seem to sell from around $8,000 to slightly under $9,000 - depending on condition, bezel insert and whether it is a holes vs no-holes case or tritium vs luminova. Do some research here - there have been plenty of these watches sold on TRF.
