Yacht Master or Tudor BB GMT

So I walked in to my AD today because I was working nearby. I currently have a deposit on a Tudor BB GMT with bracelet that they are expecting within the next few weeks. I was poking around and I saw a YM SS with platinum blue dial in the case and it was never on my radar but I tried it on and I really like it. I took it out to view under the Hawaiian sun and it totally pops! I’m now thinking of giving up the Tudor and getting this one. My reasoning is that I can hopefully get a BLRO someday anyway to fill that Pepsi craving.
As far as Rolex, I have a GMT black and Deepsea DeepBlue. Of my other pieces I don’t have anything with a blue dial. Omega Gemini IV is also on my radar but I don’t know when that will happen. Similarly, the 2020 Tokyo Speedy has that look. I have the problem that many of us have, my eyes are writing checks that my account (wife) won’t cash.
What do you all think?

Another question. My AD won't give me a discount on the YM. Normal?

The YM is a beautiful, sporty piece that wears super comfortably, and slip under a cuff easily. I tried the Tudor out, but found it too big to fit comfortably under my shirt cuff, especially with a sport jacket or sweater on too, which is how I typically travel. Big travel watches don't work for me.

How does the platinum hold up? I move around a lot. Does it scratch easily?

my wife has the 35mm and the bezel is fine... the bracelet is way scratched up. The bezel concerns are overblown

I'd pick the 116622. Especially the blue dial

Ask AD to hold it for you while you make a decision. Think about it for a couple days and you will have your answer.

YM + SS BLRO > Tudor GMT + SS BLRO.

YM over Tudor GMT any day. But Tudor is a fine watch, particularly in the light of staying on the wife's good side at home.

I've worn my YM almost daily for around 2 months in both long and short sleeve situations, and not even the tiniest speck or blemish on the bezel.

I had a 16622 that I wore every day for about 5 years, never had a mark on the bezel but the PCL's were pretty scratched up.

I got 12% off when I bought it in 2008 and I would not pay full retail today if I were buying another.

I would stick with the plan to get the BBGMT now, and then someday, if you are indeed fortunate enough to get the BLRO, then you can make a decision on if you want to move one of them for the YM.

I wouldn't, but that's me...

I like the YM a lot, but wouldn't buy it without a discount.
Love the blue dial BTW!

Get the GMT now; assuming you can fully fund the Yachtmaster, you’ll still be more than halfway there and you can then eventually have both. If you aren’t concerned about price, get the one you like the most now. I’ve come close to purchasing the blue Yachtmaster a couple of times but I’m a bit OCD about the polished links; never really heard anyone complain that much about the bezel though. I do love my GMT!

While I love my black bays lately, the YM is the most comfortable watch I ever owned. If it's a one watch situation, I would go for the YM.

Wife has the 35mm and I have the blue - not abused to well worn. I agree with others, bezel concerns of over blown. Nothing against the BB at all if that's what you want but for me at least, no comparison - YM hands down.

The 116622 has never been on my radar but I bought one for a friend and just received it yesterday and I have now changed my outlook. It looks so nice in person and wears very well on the wrist. I understand why it has a loyal following.

The YM is the better option in this case, so go for it if you really like it.

Sure is a beauty, if you can stomach the price it’s a great watch
