Questions about originality on this 1675

My concerns are around the case. Is it polished beyond recognition or is it a fake?

Looks like a 1.1 and that would match a Swiss only gilt dial. That case and case back look over polished to where it might not be able to be repaired. Would like a good scan of serial and model before assessing originality. Dial is toasty too. All depends on your need. Hands and insert are replacement. Looks like a 68' case back unless I read wrong and that is to late for case. Unless you can buy for parts value plus a big discount on case & case back I'd pass.

At best, someone took a 1968 GMT and horribly tried to convert to a Pointed Crown Guard. Would like a clear photo of the engravings, both sides.

Also quite possibly fake, regardless it is ruined

The serial number is 1972803 which should be a Mark I white-lettered dial.

The Mark I dial in the watch is either fake or artificially altered with the gilt-looking fonts.
