How secure is the easy link fully deployed?
Assurance and vote of confidence to wear your Rolex safely day in day out on this basis please?

Just as secure as it is when it's not deployed

It’s perfectly fine. It isn’t a weak link at all.

It's just a regular link that can be snapped into place. If it breaks, your hand will probably go along with it.

I'm not sure I follow.
Why wouldn't it be secure? Every time you wear a watch your watch is one very tiny spring bar, which is attached with a tiny metal tip, that can cause the watch to smash against the pavement at any moment. I'm not happy with the design either but such is life. |

The bracelet is as secure as it's weakest connection. The weakest connectors are the snap-pins inside the clasp, not the EZ link.

If I need to use the easylink everyday, I probably also need to lose some weight, which my cardiologist azures me isn't safe . . .

It's not like one of those tinny diving extenders which look awful, feel flimsy and can spoil an otherwise excellent ownership experience. It's a proper half link, properly engineered and easily deployed or stashed back in the clasp. A very clever and solid bit of kit. You might not use it much, and it's easy to forget it's there - until you need it. At which point you will be glad of it.
