Do the right thing?

Got the call today about a Sub c date that just came in at the AD. Since I’m on the list its mine. Ive bought several pieces in the last two months and I have an older sub, so I thought I’ll pass really wanting a blnr. First thing the sales guy said was...you sure you know what those are bringing on the net. Said I’m ok with it thanks. should I have?? Not a flipper how many would of flipped it?

I would have passed also. I could have bought one a week ago but I already have a 16610 in my collection. Let someone else have the joy.

He was probably testing you with that line. You passed my friend
and a smart move not to buy because when an AD offers you a sub in this day and age they think they are doing you a favor and wont necessarily offer you another sought after piece like a Pepsi or Daytona

You were right to pass. My problem is I bought watches to flip in order to upgrade but ended up not being able to let go of the ones I had. I need them. My precious

Good call. With fees and competition from other sellers selling the exact same thing, you may not even make any profit on this.

It's always the right thing when you do something nice for your fellow man (and fellow Rolex buyer)

I would have passed. If you take it to a reseller they won't even give you retail for it. If you sell privately at a small premium (unless you're a trusted seller), there's shipping risk, fraud risk (PayPal protects buyers) and hassle.

I called my local AD who had a black Sub no date in stock. Went in, tried it on and didnt look right on me. So i passed it up.

I was very tempted to buy, so I can build a relationship with the AD and hopefully get a
Hulk from them...

Good call but why did you put your name in the first place?
