2 watch vs 4 watch collection
Which 2 watch collection would you pick? Old vs new? Steel vs PM? Rolex vs. Patek? Or maybe all 4? :)

If I could swing all four that is what I would do. The Rolex watches are great daily wears and the PP are special.

I'd try and keep all 4, or lose the red sub.

Daytona and the PCC would make a beautiful collection. Wouldn't need anything else. All 4 watches are very nice.

I think you have to keep them all. The logical is keep Patek but I would fidget around and end up buying a steel watch. Plus, a Daytona is always a keeper.

all 4 is perfect. vintage, SS daily beater that is unique and robust, a PM on a bracelet for a little classy bling and a beautiful dress watch on leather. got all your bases covered.

If only 2, I'd break up the pairs and keep the Red for casual/tough duty and the PCC for sport/elegant dressy. No downside to all 4 though.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a more well-rounded four piece collection.

The sub and nautilus are perfect bookends to that collection.

The two Rolex will meet every situation.
I was sold as soon as the first pic loaded.

Everyone has their own preferences but I would personally only keep the PCC and the Daytona because I dislike the Nautilus and don't see the attraction of older Rolexes (unless they have sentimental value), especially for what they fetch.

What a great collection! If I regrettably had to lose two, it would be the 5711R because full rose gold isn’t my thing and the 116500LN because although difficult, it’s replaceable in the future.
Whatever you do, don’t sell the red Submariner or the Patek Perpetual Calendar. |
